Last Update 5 months ago

Two-factor authentication (2FA) provides an extra protection layer for your BSafes. You can enable 2FA with an authenticator app like Authy, Google Authenticator, or Microsoft Authenticator. Before setting up your 2FA, please have an authenticator app ready.

This guide walks you through setting up 2FA, using 2FA, recovering 2FA, and disabling 2FA.

Set up 2FA

Open your BSafes or Own your BSafes if you are a new user.

Click the 3-bar menu icon on the left of the top navigation bar.

Select 2FA.

Enter your password, and your device will generate a hash to verify your ownership.

Please follow the on-screen steps to complete your setup.

2FA recovery phase

Please save your 2FA recovery phase in a safe place. If you lose your authenticator app or account, the 2FA recovery phase is the only way to pass the 2FA step.

Use 2FA

When you open your BSafes, after entering your Nickname and Key Password, you will see the 2FA page.

Please enter the token from the BSafes account in your authenticator app.

After passing the 2FA step, you will see your Personal space page.

Recover 2FA

In the 2FA step, if you lose your device or authenticator account, the only way to recover is the 2FA recovery phrase you saved when you set up 2FA.

In the 2FA, select RECOVER.

Copy and paste the recovery phrase into the text box, or open your 2FA recovery file by clicking the attachment icon.

After passing the 2FA step with the recovery phrase, you should disable 2FA and set up a new 2FA, and you will get a new recovery phrase.

Disable 2FA

Click the 3-bar menu icon on the left of the top navigation bar.

Select 2FA.

Enter your password, and your device will generate a hash to verify your ownership.

Click on the DISABLE button.

Enter Yes to confirm, then click on the GO button.
